  1. Theres just a couple things I can't seem to figure out in Vegas 5.0.

First, how do I take just one still frame from a video?
For example, in Premiere I could have a clip of a video, go to File>Export>Frame (or something like that) and I would get a .bmp of just that one fram that was in the preview window.
Is there a way to do this in Vegas?

Second, how do I blur things out, such as faces or license plates or something?

for blurring out license plates, check here:

    Tutorial.

as for still frames, I'd just use Virtualdub, under Video -> Export Source Frame To Clipboard, then paste in a graphics program or whereever you need it.

  3. to grab a still frame, open the preview window (if you don't have it open) and click on the diskette or clipboard icon...hidden trick - the size and quality of the preview will be what you get in your frame..so set preview to full/best and float/resize the window so that the preview is full size before you take your frame (the preview size is shown at the bottom - make sure it matches your source)
