  1. I've had my 2500 since last Christmas. Have been using Phillips +R
DVD's with great success until recently. Now I often get an error
message shortly after "format" appears when I put in a new disk.
Three disks in a row got this error message, but the next two worked
fine. I already did the 124 upgrade but tried to do the most recent
one today. I kept getting "no disc" even though I burned the
current upgrade to CD-R exactly the way I did the previous one.
I've tried unplugging the unit, doing the factory reset, but nothing
seems to work. Also, my disks feel hot (or a least very warm) when
I first remove them after burning something. Anyone have any
    suggestions?

    Thanks, Duke

Sounds like a wire is loose from the heat in side the recorder. Go inside to see if there any loose wires or any wires not connected to something. Other than that its the drive itself. You can replace it with another drive like NEC. But before that you might want to invest in a better unit. Hope that helps. also I have a Cyberhome it has great picture but tends to run hot. I install a fan so it would be a bit cooler.

CyberHome is no good very crappy DVD player I had broke in 6 months and would not be fixed free. I would not buy more CyberHome product.
Power Supply in CyberHome blew up and no new available. CyberHome running hot means bad power supply and it blows up.
