  1. I was wondering if someone has a firmware 1.0g for Sony DRU500A, then please send it the following address:

    dt_speedster@hotmail.com

Sony won't. A bunch of idiots.

    Thanks.

Of course they won't. They've had numerous firmware releases since then and each one was progressively better. So there's really no need for 1.0g. Just get the latest version and all your discs no matter what brand will burn at 4x. Just wait til the DL firmware comes out, that'll be better still.
Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore.

  3. The latest version 2.1a does not burn at X4. That is why I am trying to get hold of the older version.

  4. You can get it here:

However, I highly doubt it will solve your speed "problems".

  5. Thanks for that wescoiety. That link worked.

I am not sure if the older firware will work, if nothing else works, does not hurt to try it.

If it does not, I am thinking of taking it back to Sony.

  6. What if 500 people sent you that FW? Your mail box would have exploded.

Not if he's got gMail, or one of the new 'free' 2GB hotmail accounts. :P

  9. Thanks for that guys. I had to set a new email account just for that.

1.0f did not help, still at X2.

I will try 1.0g. See if that is any better?

    I'l be back!
