    Hi,

I've captured video from most types of video tape, but I had someone ask me to put about 10 of those 8cm DVDs that are recorded inside the videocamera itself on a conventional DVD-R or 2

Anybody know, what I'll find when I explore the 8cm DVD on my PC. I've never had anything to do with them in the past.

Will there be an MPG2 file, or an AVI or finalised mixture of VOB files etc etc. I believe that the disks have been finalised by the owner of the camera.

Is it possible to actual capture from these cameras in realtime by the firewire port

    I think the camera is a Sony DCRDVD201 , and that's all I know

I want to maintain as high a quality as possible if indeed it can be done.

So, if you've done this before, please enlighten me on what my options are

    Cheers
    Scott

    Hello,

You should either find vobs or that vr video stuff. If it's vobs just do the normal dvd copying and editing. If it's vr you'll have to do some forum searching because I'm not familiar with that type.
