best way to edit avi's on osx?

Once I have my avi files processed by ffmpegx, how can I edit them using my macintosh osx computer? I start with vob files and I haven't seen a way to edit those.

You can open AVI file in Quicktime Pro and then edit them. You can also turn the AVI into a MOV with DivX Doctor II and edit the MOV.

If you need to do some editing to an avi with QT, definitely convert it to .mov using Divx Doctor II first. Editing a divx or xvid avi and saving it as a avi can easily cause crashes w/ QT and/or your system. Editing a .mov and saving to .mov should be no problem however.
