  1. I have 2 svcd mpegs. I joined them using tmpgenc, and then made a .m2v and a .mp2 file. i renamed the .mp2 to .mpa and made VOB files using Ifoedit. Everything worked, but then about half way through the movie, the audio messed up, it was totally off sync what could be the problem? how do i fix it?

    thx,

    Hello,
I don't do svcds much but here's a thought. Why did you change the mp2? Mp2 is a legit dvd audio standard. Leave the mp2 file as is. Also, is your audio 48000? That is the dvd standard. Good luck.

P.S. Are your two svcds the same video size and ratio?

  3. I renamed the .mp2 to .mpa because the guide said so. No, my audio is 41000, not 48000, but the guide said most DVD players should be able to play it. It played perfectly on my DVD player... don't know why the audio lost sync Is there anything I can do?

  4. I figured something out. It's actually when I joined the 2 files with TMPGENC is where I lost the audio. I played the .MPG file (2 joined ones) on my computer, and it had the same problem. What can I do to prevent this?

Dont join the mpgs, just author them as separate clips on the same track and they will play straight thru.

  6. Yes, but I am using Ifoedit. Ifoedit takes the .m2v and .mp2, and creates VOBS from them. If I do it seperately, I will have 2 different sets of VOBS, then what do I do?

a good program for editing and/or joining mpeg files is womble mpeg-vcr. There is a trial version you can download to see if you like it. I use it often and have never had any audio sync problems joining files. Tmpgenc is an awesome video encoder but just isn't very good for doing editing.
