playing movies with subtitles

until few days ago i could play AVI files with MEDIA PLAYER 9
and see subtitles the were named the same as the AVI files but were .sub
i dont know why but i cant see subtitles any more
i think my codecs where changed
can someone help?

install vobsub. you should see a small green arrow in the tray when you play the video with the subtitle file, double click on it for settings if you still can't see the subs.

thanx for your answer,
my problem is that vobsub appears automatically when i play the movie
but i cant see subs i tried to dubble click an configure
i tried every thing - removed and reinstalled vobsub
nothing seems to help
i think it because i have a bad codec installed
is it possible?
can i uninstall all my codecs?
