Is it possible to go from my PC to the I-Link in my recorder? I have some vcds i would like to transfer over to DVD and would like to do it that way. When i hook the cable up the PC recognizes that it is hooked up to a Sony RDR-GX7. When i put the VCD in my PC i don't get anything going to the recorder. Also have a number of cds with the extras on them that you can only play in your PC that i would like to put to DVD as well. Thanks for any help.[/i]

The i.Link on your DVD Recorder only accepts DV avi files. You need to convert your VCD to DV avi in order for your recorder to recognize it.

You will also need a program that will recognize and be able to write to your IEEE component.
