I have no idea where to start or even if the way im doing /trying todo this is the best so im hoping some one can help me.
Hello everyone, my first post.
I have a sony rdr-hxd970 dvd/hdd recorder and sky+ and im from the UK.
What i think im trying todo is...
I have recorded many things onto the sony HD from the sky+ box, this was easy and i was able to pause the hd during the ad breaks and then carry on after them, something that you can not do with sky+.
So now on the HD i have the programs i want to keep and have now removed the adverts
But the HD is now getting full so its time to get the programs off the HD and onto some DVDs.
I know i can just copy them to a DVD, but the DVD even thought i stop the recording after each program just makes one complete program, there are no gaps/pauses so i can skip the the second program i recorded, is this possible ?
Or
Should i just record each program onto a separate DVD and then put them separately onto my computer, and then use a program to put them onto another DVD with a menu ?
I hope someone can understand what im trying todo.
Thank you
Kevin

I don't have a Sony, but my Pioneer allows me to
1. Add chapters to any program on the HDD
2. Automatically puts chapters at any cut (for example, after removing adverts)
3. Burns multiple programs as titles, all accessible individually from a menu
I suspect your first task should be to sit down for an hour with the manual and read it cover to coverRead my blog here.
