I need a mpeg2 video editor that allows the user to fade the end of the video and audio out to black, The problem i have is that the capture i have has been slightly cut off before the end, so id like to fade it out rather that it just stop dead. So i really need an editor to do this, a freeware one if poss!!! Does anybody know of a good one!!!

    morning all..

    @ efiste2,

I'm not sure if your source is MPEG-2 or not, (thought you say it is) but..

If you do end up resorting to .AVI captures as your source, I would use an
AVIsynth script, and include the FadeIn() and FadeOut() commands.

..well, at least give them a try.
If you need help or assistance, you could try finding a great little app, a script
editor for .AVS scripts - called, AvisynthEditor. I'm using v0.2.1 by akabob
because I tend to forget some of the param syntax and what-nots.

    Good luck,
    -vhelp

PS: I'm surprised that videohelp.com does not have it in its Tools sections
