  1. I want to copy some files off my Pace Twin PVR and stick them on to DVD-R, however they have been inflicted with BBC4 in the corner.

Any software available which can smear it out without needing to recode (they were encoded by the BBC on broadcast and I want to avoid reencoding - otherwise I'll just capture some old SuperBeta HiFi tapes).

    Thanks for any advice[/i]

No way without re-encoding. Go ahead with the SuperBeta tapes.
