  1. Hi. I just tried to install DVD2DVDR and I got an error message that said "Install ASPI Driver first" Does anyone know how to fix this? TIA

  2. I haven't used that program but it sounds like you need to install the Adaptec ASPI package. Can find that here: http://www.adaptec.com/worldwide/support/driverdetail.jsp?sess=no&language=English+US&...aspi_471a2.exe

    Get ForceAspi and install it.

ASPI is an icky thing, especially under 2K, and SUPER ESPECIALLY under XP. Well, ok it's not really THAT icky, but apparently SOMEONE changed SOMETHING, because Adaptec's "XP 32-bit Install" just doesn't register the ASPI components properly.

And sometimes ForceASPI works, and sometimes it doesn't.

There are a COUPLE different fixes you might need to run, depending on the program you intend to use.

For example, there's a completely separate fix to the ForceASPI fix that has been posted on the Exact Audio Copy forums, which is needed to get EAC and some other Audio programs to see your drives properly.
