Hi,
I have been trying to capture from my VCR using a Transcend AV110 USB2.0 TV Box. When I tried to capture in
"Best qualilty" or DVD (MPEG2) quality, the results will be very choppy. Only when I set to "VCD quality"
will the results be smooth but the quality is no good. I have tried the following softwares:
Intervideo WinDVDR 3 (came with the box)
Nero 6
MySonic DVD
All produced the same results. I notice that when I start capturing, my CPU is at 100%.
here is my setup:
Windows XP
Intel P4 1.7GHz
512MB
2 x 80GB hdd (UDMA Set to auto in BIOS)
VIA 4-port USB2.0 PCI card
Transcend AV110 USB 2.0 TV Box
Anyone care to comment? Thanks.
cheers

is there anything else connected to your USB ports? are you running any other programs?
I haven't heard of your device before, not sure if it's a hardware mpeg encoder or if your PC is doing the encoding (that would explain the 100% usage)
can you succesfully capture in .avi format using huffyuv at DVD resolution?
