  1. When I was going to test my Capture Board, the audio got choppy.

But the captured files are not like this, the audio is just fine on these.
But for some weird reason, the playback is awful.

I don't get it, my old PC was a Celeron, and the playback was exactly like the captured file.

    My old PC:
    -ASUS P4P800-MX
    -1gb RAM
    -Celeron 2.2ghz

    My new PC:
    -Gigabyte GA-945GCM-S2C
    -2gb RAM
    -Pentium 4 2.66ghz

    What could be wrong?

Do you mean the playback within VD? It's an editor, not a player. Editors aren't optimized for playback. If the file plays normally in a decent player no problem.

Probably not related to your problems, but if you only have 2GB RAM, that's a bit small, unless you're running an older OS like XP. If you have on-board video, then some of that is used for video, making it even smaller.

    And welcome to our forums.

  4. Try the different sync options: Capture -> Timings. If you can't get it to work just turn off the audio playback while capturing, Audio -> Enable Audio Playback.

No, no, no. The problem's not on the capture, the audio is recorded fine.
The problem is just on the audio playback on VirtualDub Capture Mode.

When I play any recorded file, the audio is normal.

  6. Guys, I found on VirtualDub Capture Mode faq that the problem is because that I have a VIA chipset.
Is there anything I could do to solve it?

  7. I know what your problem is. Just turn off audio playback while you capture and audio sync won't be an issue -- you won't hear any audio while capturing. You usually don't need to hear the audio while capturing.

I know I don't have to hear it.
But the problem is that I sold my TV.

My TV is now only my PC with a TV Tuner.

  9. Then I would try a different capture program. There are many capture/viewing programs:

  11. I don't know if it has a solution or not for your computer. The point is, if you can't get VirtualDub working right all you can do try some other software.
