  1. Before I d/l trial version, I was told that the software is to be used with either Window XP or 2000 but I have Win 98 so will it work with 98? Reason why I try DVD author is to transfer video from DVD-Ram into DVD-R. That's all I need to transfer without any edit, paste or cut.

    Thanks!

  2. I use TMPGEnc DVD Author with Win98SE all the time and it works fine. The only limitations are you won't be able to use TDA for burning, you'll have to create your DVD files to hard disk, then burn with another application (I use RecordNow Max.)
And you have to keep in mind 98SE 4GB limitation. Just keep the VRO file on the DVD-RAM under 4GB and you should be alright.

  3. Thanks Elkfir,

I use DVD-Ram from Panny DVD recorder when doing about 3 hours of shows without quality degrading. I have noticed DVD-Ram has better quality video than DVD-R when doing long show or any sporting events so that's why I just want to transfer video into -R using TDA.

    Thanks!
