  1. Hi,
    I don't understand something,
I just bought ads dvd xpress ,
then i started to capture analog video to my hard drive as .mpeg 2 for dvd.
ok. so i wanted to put on a dvd well, this is the time my problem started,
when i use ulead dvd movie factory to burn it on dvd it started to encode it to dvd format!
so, my point is why ads , canopus ,dazzle or whatever capture card company says (real- time encoding) i think they are lying!
because i also have old ati rage fury pro w/analog video input,
when i capture with it, i encode it also and without any freezing even if i capture 24hrs,
so, if somebody can lighten me up about this
what is the use if you have to re encode the files (and wait again) to put on dvd.

    thank you .........................

  2. Ulead DVD movie factory has a setting somewhere that says 'do not convert compliant video'. So if your source mpeg is DVD compliaqnt (correct res, bitrate etc) it will not re-encode. If it is NOT DVD complinat, you need to look at your capture settings to make sure they are.

You may be happy to hear that ADS is currently beta testing a new DTD, direct to disc, feature for capwiz update. Using this feature will be very nice for those of us that do not want to edit ofr fiddle with anything.

No release date has been given that I have seen, AFIK it is still in eary beta testing
