I just ripped the Matrix using DVDecrypter. Then I created a v2d file using dvd2avi. Then I used IVTC to reduce the fps. I encoded like 5 minutes of the movie until I noticed that the preview in TMPGEnc was acting up. So I played the MPEG that it created so far. Everything looks fine up to about 3 minutes int the movie. Then it will play a scene then jump back about 3 sec and play the scene again. Then it will play for like 6 sec then jump back a couple of sec and play that part again. I thought it was an error in TMPGEnc but I did a preview in DVD2AVI and it also did it in the dvd2avi preview, so I must be something wrong with the vob file on my computer because the original DVD doesn't do this. Has anyone ever heard of this and know how to fix it. Could it be a problem with the actual coping of the files from the dvd to the harddrive?

how did you ivtc? what program & exact settings did you use? what video type percentage did dvd2avi report?

If I remember correctly, the Matrix uses seamless branching. Thus, if you use DVD Decrypter to extract the vobs, there will be repeated sequences.
If you use DVD2AVI, try using SmartRipper on "Movie Mode".

Matrix is seamless branching, if you haven't got the DVD anymore but have the ifo then you'll need to use DVDx or Flask.
