I searched the forum and only found a few similiar problem with no solution.
I get "Error decompressing frame xxx: An unknown error occured (may be corrupt data)" and it masks all the rest of the video after one bad frame. It gives an error code -100. If I use TMPGEnc, it just freeezes at the same frame and the rest of the video is blank.
I have tried to set the point in VirtualDub after bad frame but all I get are blank video but yet the original video plays just fine in WMP.
So the question is... how can I get around that "bad" frame and convert it? I'd very much like to burn the video to VCD and I can't get around that one frame.

1) Load the .AVI file (DivX-compressed or otherwise) into the most recent version of either VirtualDub or VirtualDubMod
2) Set "Video" to "Direct Stream Copy"
3) Select "Check for errors"
4) Select "Mask bad frames"
5) Save with a new filename
Then try and import your "Repaired" AVI file in TMPGEnc.Cheers, Jim

Your file is avi? You can use Virtualdubmod to scan for bad frames, then either mask or delete them, then save as a new avi with direct stream copy selected in the video menu.
