  2. 4get it i already solved the prob, there are 2 options 4 the burner drive.i let the default setting pick it 4 me and i should have used the nti setting.thanks anyway.btw movie factory is much better than nero and u can import your own background music and pics.every1 should try it.you'll never go back.

  3. Use the NTI Setting? Could you be more specific (I don't have the software in front of me at the moment). I was having the same problem with my Win98 box.

  4. On the burn page in step 2 you can select the NTI or Ulead burn engine for your burner. It looks like Ulead is developing their own drivers. The driver in the DVD Picture Factory is a Ulead driver.

  6. I get the same error Katdadi, every time I try to burn my movie. 'generic error with cd/vcd software.....'
The progress bar will go just about to end, and then I get that message. I produced 5 coasters so far. I hope someone can help.

What operting system are you using? What CD burner are you using? Is your burner listed in the supported drives at: ulead.com/dmf/compatibility2.htm#cdburners? Have you tried both the NTI and Ulead Drivers(burn page step 2)? What were you trying to burn ie VCD, XVCD, SVCD, XSVCD, or DVD? If it was and XVCD or XSVCD what were settings of your mpg file?

  8. I am using ME and I'm burning on a LG CED 8080B. I've tried both NTI and Ulead drivers to burn VCD's only. It seems that my burner is compatible. Can I author in MF and burn file using another software?

I checked the Ulead CD burner compatibility list and my RICOH MP6002S is listed. I'm trying to burn an XVCD, which I had MovieFactory convert for me. I've tried using both Win 98 SE and Win 2000, with the same exact error both times.

I get this message as well, but when I take the disc out and use it it works, cant think of a time when I haven't had this message! ..I use a LG drive.

  14. i have hp9100 series and can burn vcds, xvcds using ulead's driver engine but only at 2x speed though. i use memorex cdrs. can't burn at 4x tried it already.

  15. I kept getting the same error, too (well, I got it TWICE), but the second time, just 'cause I was ticked off, I took the disc to my Apex and...

    Lo and behold! It worked!

I wonder if the error message is occurring as DVD MovieFactory is trying to eject the disc or something. Has anyone else tried to play one of the so-called "errored out" VCDs?

It's Gadget. you can't author in MF and burn the file using another program. i tried that already. it doesn't save the file in .mpg format. but how you select nti instead of ulead's engine?

  17. Select the burn driver in step 2 on the burn page "Select CD Recorder" [...(Ulead)], [...(NTI)].
