I have just seen 'It's A Wonderful Life' again for the umpteenth time. There's a scene in the drug store, where the young George Bailey is being hit by Mr Gower (the druggist), for not delivering some medicine. As he's being hit there is a quick cutaway to a young girl sitting in the drug store. It's her reaction to the sound of young George being slapped that gets me everytime, I just feel a tear start to well up.

Feel free to extract all the urine you want (I'm a big boy, I can take it), but I'm sure some of you must have similar experiences, be it tears of joy or sadness. I reckon that deep down most of you are just big girl's blouses.

Now, could someone pass me a tissue, I've got something in my eye...

Old Yeller hit me hard, too. I had a dog like that, only he got hit.

Return of the Jedi for Yoda & Darth's death scenes. I also get tears watching near the end of The Dirty Dozen.

When I was 6, my parents told me later, I laughed histerically in the theater when Bambi's mother died.

For the record, I don't think I've ever actually cried during any movie, but I have gotten that lump in the throat from certain scenes, mostly just because the acting was so damn good and believable.

    1) I am Sam- when Sam goes to visit Lucy and she runs toward him and you think she's going to hug him, and instead starts hitting him for not calling. That girl is a damn good actor for her age.

    2) Gandalf dies in Lotr- even though you know he's not really dead, its still sad. Mostly its probably just good emotional music that does it. Very well done.

    3) Billy Elliot- when the Dad turns "scabber" and goes back to work despite the strike so that Billy can keep dancing. That is some fine acting.

No movies come to mind, but the Futurama episode "Jurassic Bark" with Seymour the Dog. The end of the episode always makes my eyes dewy.

I'm kind of new to forums and this is the only one I've ever posted on. I did a few searches in the off topic forum first before posting and couldn't find anything. I don't check with any other forum sites before posting, it's just a coincidence that it appears elsewhere

    2) The final fight scene from Zulu.

    3) The scene from Blackhawk Down when the two Delta soldiers request to be dropped in to save the Blackhawk pilot knowing that they would have no support or backup.

This reminds me of a funny thing that happened when my sister was pregnant. The movie was Little Giants. In the scene where that kid is handed the ball and sees his dad chearing him on as he scored the touchdown she just started crying uncontrollably.

In Babylon 5 when Ivanova finds out she is going to die, and then when Marcus sacrifices himself to save her.

In Spaced where Tim goes to meet daisy at the train station.

In Fight Club at the end - but i'm crying because they ruined the story! :P

In Moulin Rouge where she dies in his arms.

In Leon when he sends Matilda down through the air shaft, just the look on her face knowing he won't be following her.
