  6. The scene in Forest Gump where Tom Hanks is kneeling at his wife's grave and is just talking to her...especially the part we he tells her how smart their son is.

Of course at several points during "It's a Wonderful Life" my all time favorite movie

Titanic...the scene where the eldrly couple are lying in their bed holding each other as the water begins to rush over them

'Herbie Goes Bananas' gets to me when they dump him into the water from the ship. The look on the kid's face is heartbreaking.

I had a VW bug once. It was rusted over and I had a big 53 painted on the hood.

Actually it was a friend's car and it was a friggin' pain having to repair it every other day. But the part in the movie was still sad.

  10. I wouldn't say tears, but examples of stuff that gets me to choke up or that have a passionate, chilling or haunting effect -

Roger Waters - The Wall: Live in Berlin 1990 - wow, what an experience that was.
The Pink Floyd album doesn't have that effect on me but the symbolism here and relation to the coming down of the Berlin wall make it something more powerful and emotional.
Joni Mitchell performing Goodbye Blue Sky, as well as from Paul Carrack on Hey You to Van Morrison on Comfortably Numb, the visual of the wall itself being torn down and the optimism expressed in the final number, The Tide Is Turning are all strong moments.

Gaby: A True Story - very touching and poetic story of a physically challenged young woman's strong will and determination to live as much normal life as possible despite the opticals against her.

Buster And Billie - SPOILERS...poignant tragedy...young guy finds love with a girl others think of as a sleazy lowlife...his friends gang rape her after she stops putting out for 'em and they accidently kill her and try to hide the body...the guy finds the body, loses it, killing and seriously injuring his friends.

Star 80 - tragic fate of actress/Playboy model Dorothy Stratten...murdered by her estranged husband.

CNN documentary on 911 - some touching moments with the family members searching for their missing loved ones. Seeing it afterwards is sad when you know that they won't be reuniting with their loved ones.

Monster is gripping in itself, but I found the documentaryAileen: Life and Death of a Serial Killer (the true life story Monster is based on) even more sad.

Gimme Shelter - documentary on the Rolling Stones' 1969 tour with an actual murder caught on film. Puts you right in the moment as if you were actually there. Some intense stuff here.

    Cry for Me, Billy

    The Trial of Billy Jack

    The Deer Hunter

...just some that come to mind, but I know I'm forgetting a few that are worth mentioning.

Were you crying because of your daughter or because you finally managed to author a perfect quality DVD with a complex and original menu that would play on your home system?

The 50's version 'Of Mice and Men' and 'David Copperfield'.

Anyone see Johnny Lingo? I don't know who made it, but a friend of mine owned it on VHS. Not a clue where he got it because I haven't found it in stores anywhere. (he's in the Navy and I haven't seen him in 3 years) There are a couple of sad parts in it, especially when this one guy calls his own daughter ugly. "Mahanna, you ugly. Come out here." According to the movie and average wife on this polynesian island is worth between 3-5 cows. Johnny pays 7 cows for Mahanna and the father admits to another friend that he would gladly have accepted the horns and a tail for her. Some movie about self respect and self worth. Kind of funny and more of something along the lines of a childrens tale, but still good.

From the sound of it, the movie sounds similar, but the one I saw was made in the 70's. Maybe it's a remake. Wouldn't be surprised.

I had a really warped mind after watching several movies and shows.

Lassie - in the begining when the music plays and you hear Lassie's name called. It pans through the grass to Lassie starting to run through the grass. All of a sudden a gun shot is heard with a dog's shot welp of pain. Then a zoom in to Timmy's shock of surprise and then hold while he gets realization and cries.

The Yearling - What if a big famine came around and they had to eat the deer to survive.

Old Yeller - What if a big famine came around and they had to eat the dog to survive.

Christmas Carol - What if a big famine came around and the Cratchet's had to eat Tiny Tim to survive. :P

A.I. - What if the creator just dismantled the boy and turned him into a hanging art mobile of parts with a blue fairly swinging around with the parts.

E.T. - What if it ended with a huge alien invasion with E.T. as the general and the whole world was annihilated.

War of the Worlds - What if the aliens brought a homeworld disease that wipes out our population and the earth just reamined uninhabited by inteligent life forms.

  27. The end of Saving Private Ryan when the old Mr. Ryan is kneeling at the grave wondering if he had lived a good life worthy of the sacrifices made to save him.

Schindler's list when they are herding jews into cattle cars and a little girl gets seperated from her family. The film is in Black and White and the only color is the red coat worn by the little girl, as seen from above.

Philadelphia -- Tom Hanks after he walks out of a building after visiting a one last lawyer (played by Denzel Washington) and is told that he will not take his case. The look of pain and desperation on his face is heart wrenching to watch.

I'm not a movie cryer either but a few moments that brought me close...

Armagedon when Bruce Willis is talking to Liv Tyler for the last time. (if you have kids you know what I mean)
The Green Mile - if you haven't seen it then you have no idea and I couldn't explain it, but if you've seen it you know exactly what I'm talking about it.

The others are kind of lame by most people's standards but I am huge into sports sooooo....

The Rookie - when he finally goes into the game
    Rocky movies - last fights
Remember the Titans - when Julius makes his speech at halftime and again when they win.

Any sports movie where the underdog wins.

    I'm sure there are others.

Another form of tears I have shed over a movie is any porn that has Ron Jeremy in it.

Those are tears of anger because someone as ugly as that dude is in the porn industry and my dumbass went to college

He makes more money and bangs so much premium ass that is should be criminal.
