    you'll need 2 programs:

DVD Decrypter (great for ISO Mode backups of DVD-5's)

DVDShrink (Used for DVD-9 to DVD-R)

Both of these are free. DVDShrink now has an option to output an ISO file so you can burn it with DVD Decrypter basically making it so you won't need any other programs for backing up your own movies.

    I'll second that

If all you plan to do is back up your DVD's to DVDR then I agree with the two previous posts. If you wish to convert to other formats such as (S)VCD, AVI etc., you will need additional tools.

I agree with the three previous posts.

Next time try to do some research, as this is a pretty elementary question that could have very easily been answered by reading the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ).
    If in doubt, Google it.

I agree with all the other agree-ers-ers........ but please, do take the time to do some upfront research on how to do whatever it is you're hoping to accomplish...
