Is there any DVD ripper that is either cheap or free ?? That works well and is easy to use ?????????

you'll need 2 programs:
DVD Decrypter (great for ISO Mode backups of DVD-5's)
DVDShrink (Used for DVD-9 to DVD-R)
Both of these are free. DVDShrink now has an option to output an ISO file so you can burn it with DVD Decrypter basically making it so you won't need any other programs for backing up your own movies. -
