    It seems simple enough to take a DVD and turn it into a Xvid, mpeg, avi. But how would I take one of those files and break the whole movie down into a series of jpegs? (barring watching the movie and pushing the screenshot button thousands of times )

    Hopefully I'm posting in the right forum. I've spent about 45 minutes looking around the forum and so far haven't found anything. Thanks for any help!

    Hello,

    There's an option in virtualdub somewhere. But I think it only does bmp. Though you could get a batch converter tool somewhere to do bmp to jpg

    Can't remember where it is but this question popped up the other day here and they said virtualdub.

    Adobe Premiere also allows you to do this.

    tmpgenc will render out jpegs seq, from VOBs
