  1. I've been searching for a guide for dvd to dvdr, using cce, and keeping only menus, no extras. I've tried numerous ifoedit-guides, but have had a lot of problems with audo-sync etc.
I finally came across the program "DVD2DVDR", which lets you keep main-movie only. (it uses cce)
You can also reserve space for menus an extras.

When encoding is finished i use "IFO Update" to edit the ifo-files. (to get the menus working correctly.)
This method usually works great, but two of my movies (die another day & rat race) just won't work.
I get the following error message:
"ERROR: The Original IFO's PGC area is not large enough to hold the new PGC"
This problem apparently occurs when the ifo has multiple PGC's, and the first PGC isn't the main movie.

Any help with this problem is appreciated.

If you know any other (easy) method to get dvd-backups with high-quality video, menus and no extras, please tell me.

    Thanks

What version of IFOUpdate are you using? I thought the latest version fixed this problem.

ERROR: The Original IFO's PGC area is not large enough to hold the new PGC

Means something went wrong in the authoring.

Usually means the Cell count is wrong. Check the authoring, and compare it to the original.

Sometimes the main movie VTS will have more than one PGC, however, using DVD2DVDR will only allow for single PGC creation. You can create dummy PGCs, or just drag a small video, or even a chapter from the main movie to create the extra PGCs. Also count the cells in the script/Scenarist and compare to the original in IFOEdit.

Use DoItFast4U with ReAuthorist, or manually author yourself.
