    Should I convert the Avi's which I have downloaded to Mpeg1 or Mpeg2?
    I want to put them put them on a dvd. I have TpmgEnc to convert the Avi's. In terms of quality is it best to convert to mpeg1 or Mpeg2? Thanks.

    At the same resolution and bitrate mpeg 1 and 2 will look the same. Mpeg1 is only valid at 352x240/288 for DVD. Mpeg2 has more valid DVD resolutions. If you're only making a VCD res. DVD than it doesn't really matter which you choose.
