  1. i am capturing uncompressed AVI's. the interlace lines are VERY minimal compaired to if i use the Huffy codec and i don't want to encode without the lines cause then the picture to blurry. anyway, why do i get the error on TMPGE that its unsupported? is this normal? please someone help. if i can get uncompressed to work then it might end my quest for a VCD format that i am satisfied with.......

  3. Thanks alot Baldrick!! that worked but, my next question. the uncompressed file plays perfectly on my PC but when i go to encode it, i look in the filters before i encode and the picture is wacked. the shadows in the video such as from light to darker are very distinct, in the manner of seperated if that makes sense. shadowing in other colors (not green or red) but more of a dark burgandy shadow next to a yellower shadow. with the seperation of colors you can practically see a line instead of normal colors blending together. even after encoding the picture is still not color right. any ideas??

    alucard2050,

Just a stupid question... these colors issues you seem to be having... Are you
watching it on your PC??? OR, are you watching it on your TV? ? ? ? ?

If you're watching on your PC, then, usually, you will find viewing is somewhat
off, ie, colors, or brightness, or blurry. But, if your final encode is burned to
CD and played on your DVD player andwatched on your TV, should be much
better, unless your source capture is the issue.

That's about all I can think of. Again, PC? or TV?

  5. when watching the uncompressed file, directly after i capture it, the colors are perfect on my PC. its only when i encode it the colors are off. they are wrong when i load the file into TMPGE. best way to compare- have you ever selected a codec for whatever your going to capture and in the display box the video is severly color distorted? then you select another codec and the picture is right? its so hard to explain.........
