i have a collection of about 100s of avi's.. all about 22 minutes in length in a divx3.11 format.. each file is about 90 megs at 352x240 resolution.. id like to make some dvd's of these to watch... can anyone reccomend the easiest way to do this...i would liek to fit as many files on the dvd as possible.. the quality is kind of crappy right now, so im fine with that...
should i use like ulead dvd creator or whatever and let it convert the files(i think this will make the video files quite big)
convert to mpeg1?(i heard i will have to set the audio to 48khz? is there an utility to do this without splitting the files opening them up in an audio editor and resaving it then rencoding the the new wav track???
or can anyone recommend another method

Sound like you got it covered. You can convert to Mpeg1 or Mpeg2, and still keep the resolution as it is (NTSC, be sure your framerate is 29.97). Max video bitrate for MPeg1 on DVD is 1800 something. Unless your Audio is MP3 VBR it should be ok to let your encoder do the audio and video together, both TMPGEnc and CCE will do it for you, CCE being easiest for batch encoding, just drag and drop all the files to convert. Or use the separately available batch-tool for TMPGEnc if you have no hurry.
