Has anybody tried this program besides me.

    Seems to work pretty good.

Handles those Xvid videos with those pesky VBR audio files.

I missed Stephen King's ... Kingdom Hospital ... "Heartless" last Thursday ... so I had to download it from the Internet.

Video was about 360 megs in Xvid format with VBR audio ... 42 minutes long.

Bummer was it was cropped without any blacks bars on the top and bottom.

My girlfriend depends on me recording it. Canopus ProCoder Express did a nice job ... converting it to a mpg-2 video file with the black bars added on the top and bottom. Ready for authoring with TDA.

Even has 2-Pass for an option.

Does it really? That's good to know. I have the full version but I'm relatively certain the encoding engine is the same. I normally don't bother converting divx/xvid to mpeg-2 because of the many problems that can occur, but the next time I need to I'll give ol' Procoder a whirl.
