  1. I have been giving Dvd Decrypter a try, based on comments on this forum.

But, Dvd Decrypter only burns my 4X Ritek DVD-R at 2.1 with the setting on max or 2X /4X . Am I missing a setting or something? The DVD burns OK otherwise.

The 2.1 would be my rewrite speed, but I’m not using that.

I have been burning OK with TDA. It burns in about 12 minutes, which should be at 4X. I would not know it though by the status display, because it never works.

  7. Thanks, I will do that tonight.

It's not a big deal, though, because TMPGEnc DVD Author does just fine. Thats the program I’m usually in when it’s time to burn. The lacking of a good status indicator is not important, because it's only 12 minutes and done.

For that matter, I never had a problem with Roxio DVD Builder, for burning an existing ISO. The program sucks otherwise.

  8. OOPS My Bad

I went back and looked closer, and I did not select 2 - 4X but rather 2.4.
My media shows up as 2X 4X and I misread the setting, thus my error.

When I selected 4X , presto, 12 minute burn. I don't it burned 4X, though, when I selected "Max", but who cares.

Great program. Had not used it much yet, as I am neck deep in home movie conversions.

But when I do I plan on making a donation.
