  1. Hi there

I have a problem with any avi movie which used to play fine. Now every time I run it I get the following errors.
When I run it through a software I get this.
    ---------------------------
    ALLPlayer V2.0
    ---------------------------
Access violation at address 01C2DFF3 in module 'mpeg2dmx.ax'. Read of address 01CC2000.
    ---------------------------
    OK
    ---------------------------
The second one happens when I click directly onto the file.

hmmm wierd. did you change anything in your computer that would have caused this (installed any programs, codecs, etc)? try some of the avi fixers here:

specifically divfix. if that doesnt work, try doing a system restore to a few days or weeks ago

  3. from the file name, it sounds like a codec problem.
try looking for the file on your hd and rename it to mpeg2dmx.old.

try playing the file again. if it play ok, then you probably want to uninstall the codec. if it doesn't play ok, you might try either uninstalling/reinstalling the codec or finding another codec that can play the file without errors.

use avi codec or gspot to find what codecs are needed to play the file.
