Okay, I know it's possible to put other files on a DVD. I'm just wondering if hardware players out there can access JPG's, MPG's, MP3's, AVI's, etc. if they are added to a disc which already has DVD-Video. I tried doing this with my divx-capable standalone, and when I input the disc, it just recognized it as a regular DVD and played that portion of it. I expected this behavior...however, I thought there might also be some way to switch it into a "file-browsing" mode, where I could access the directory with the DIVX files in it, and play them.
It would be awfully nice to be able to put authored MPEG-2 and divx on one DVDR, and be able to play both in my standalone.
Has anyone successfully done this? Know of a standalone which will work like this?
