I've got a WMV 9 video and I want to take some screen shots of it. When I want to take screen shots of other format movies like DivX and Xvid I open them up in VirtualDub, move to the frame I want to take a shot of and press the print screen button where I can paste into an image editing program and crop and save as jpg or whatever.
WMV 9 video's can't be opened in the new VirtualDub's because of the patent laws. I want to know if there's another way to take some screen shots?
Thanks for any replies.

I can't seem to find any information on taking WMV 9 screen shots. I already know how to take shots of other format videos as I explained above, just not WMV 9 video!

have you tried media player classic? open the wmv and just select file->save image. If it doesn't work open two media player classics and you can screen capture from one of them(press PrtScrn).
