  1. I used a DVD-RW for the first time in my burner now it wont read any DVD type disc whatsoever. This is frustrating. It will however read normal CD's

  2. Did you use a 4xDVD-RW DISC in a 4xDVD-R (2xDVD-RW) drive?

  5. It doesn't actually say on the disc or the case. I bought these awhile back so Im assuming they're not 4X capable 2X at most I'd imagine. If you've got a solution let me know...I'll try anything at this point.

    Thanks

  6. I was asking because the 4xDVD-RW's are incompatible with the older drives (and can cause problems)

In your case I would try flashing the drive with a factory firmware (possibly the latest one) see if it helps.

it would be best to contact the manufacturer... they usually know these bugs...
though it might be a software problem with your comp... try (if u have that option) to move the drive to a different comp....
With all due respect... and there is respect...
