Howdy y'all,
Don't know if this is the right forum (I tried doing various searches in all the forums for an answer, but didn't find one), but my question is this:
I have a bunch of Hong Kong movie-VCDs I want to combine onto a DVD+R. I have been able to do it successfully using DVD-Lab, but I have run into a problem: Many of these VCDs have two different audio (one for Mandarin and one for Cantonese). One is heard via the left speaker, and one is heard via the right one. On my DVD player (which plays VCDs) I can usually select output from just the right or left side, which allows me to hear just one audio track. But how the heck do I transfer the audio when i author a DVD?
I tried multiplexing the video and audio, but only one audio stream comes out. I have searched (unsuccessfully) for an audio encoding method that splits up the right and left audio streams. Any suggestions?

If you're keeping the two languages, then don't worry about.
Make your DVD as you always have, the left /right language tracks
will be there, intact, but upsampled.
TMPGAuthor will do it automatically.
just grab the .dat files from the vcd and dump them into
TMPGAuthor, done. -
Here's the deal: my current DVD players do not have the option to hear the left audio or right audio only. Thus, if I keep the audio from the VCD as it is, I have two different audio tracks playing over each other.
What I wanted to know if there was a way I could create two new audio files, one with the left audio of the original sound file, and one from the right audio of the original.
I tried inputting the .dat file into TMPG, and it did split it into video and audio, but, like I said, the audio file is still two different tracks, and I can't find any way to split the two. -
i have alot of Hong-Kong movie too. Since each movie is around 1GB and was .dat file so i can burned 4 movies in 1 DVD. I can done that in Nero. But i want a menu with movie seletion. So which is good program taht can done it?
