Does anyone have any "gotchas" for someone wanting to burn VCD files on a CD-ROM that also contains .WAV files? Thinking of short, 1 minute video length max.
Many thanks for assistance.

VCD files as in .DAT, or do you want to have a VCD with wav files added too?
If the former, sure just burn the "VCD files" and wav files as data files.
If the latter, use an authoring app that lets you add files to the ISO part of the VCD, like VCDEasy.

...Or the OP could be referring to an "AVCD", aka VCD with CDDA added as last track (see my past posts or pm for help if this is what you're talking about).
More info please?
