Mainconcept 1.4 batch encodes won't work

Am I missing something simple here because I have never got this function to work
Load an avi, adjust setting to suit (dvd, 16:9, scale... es video only) add to batch list,
repeat for another file, but when I hit the Start encoding button the programe just quits

If I save the projects, when I add a second project to the list it deletes the first project from the list!

Works fine just doing a single file!

I used Mainconcept to batch encode 38 mov and wmv music videos for my daughter. I added the file and chose "vcd" for the output of each file. After adding the file I clicked on "File" "Add to batch list". I repeated this untill I had all 38 files added. I then started the batch encoding and Mainconcept converted all 38 files to vcd. This worked for me. Not sure what your problem is.

Try to un-install and re-install Mainconcept. Probably something messed up with the location where it reads the pre-sets.

In any case, reinstalling it won't do any harm.

Tried reinstall - still not working
Installed new 1.4.2 demo version and works now
