  1. I have had numerous problems with this thing since I got it. At first it would hang when redering or compiling a disk to burn. Now it will stop capturing or hang during capture. This started when I installed their latest patch and added sp1 to xp. The latest problem is studio 8 resetting the file to zero size during capture. Happens at random sizes (3k 50k 200k etc). It just keeps on capturing like nothing happened. Last night it recorded all night and got just 20 minutes worth of file. Has anyone else seen this kind of problem? :

  2. What version of USB u have?

Remeber, USB has a CPU latency, means when ur CPU its busy, the USB bandwidht can be slowdown.

Maybe some thing in SP1/XP its messing with the USB driver, check out ur motherboard brand web page for the lastest USB/Chipset patch, many!, many! times the micro$oft drivers for peripherals sux down compared with the brand manufacturer, no mention WinXP its so "stupid" when attemps to keep some hardware in "compatible" or "secure" scheme to "avoid" the user comes in "technical troubles" :P

  3. I have had the exact same problems. Pinnacle software really sucks big time. I dont think I will ever buy anything from them again. I found that using USB 1.1 helped(slower). Not using XP helped and not using any of their patches. Pinnacle support was useless.
