  1. Any gamers out there? I been using emualtors for ahwile now and i have played n64,snes and Psx games on the computer...I heard awhile back there was a hardware addon where u could interface the Snes with a floppy drive..Is that true? Was wondering if anyone knows if u can interface lets say the N64 and the Snes system with the computer?? And if u can where can u get the hardware? I really want to get a Ps2 and i seen some games u could download for the system...Why are the files so small?? Why are they under 700MB?? Are they somehow converting them where they can play off a cd or what? L8r

You're right. The PS2 Games that are out there and are less than 700MB have either been treated and processed so that they fit on a CDR, or they simply are really that small. Lots of Dreamcast games don't even get close to the 1.2GB max that a GDROM can hold, so the games are actually smaller than 700MB. When the games are a bit over 700MB or close to it, they downsample the FMV sequences and sounds so that the game can fit on a 700MB CDR.

About interfacing systems with a computer, I thought only Dreamcast could do that...

  3. Yes, there are interfaces for SNES. The most used device is called "Super Wildcard". If you look carefully, you can even buy them today from Front Far East (last time I looked anyway, sorry don't remember the url).
This device comes with a built-in floppy 3.5" (standard pc-format) which allows you to backup your SNES games to floppy disks and play them later from disk. These devices also usually have a parallelport so you can send ROMs from your PC to the device instead of using floppies. I've got a "SuperWildcard 64 DX2" which comes with 64Mbit of memory and works great. Built in OS for copying files, editing memory, cheat functions etc etc.
Great if you're a fan of the old SNES.

Devices also exists for the N64 (Z64, V64Jr etc.).

  4. There is some cool things out there i am finding...Like hooking The N64 up to a zip drive or a cdrom drive...Thats pretty cool and is what im looking for but the prices are kinda crazy....Around $400...I cant find the one for the Snes...I looked through yahoo searches and found all the n64 info i was looking for...If i could find it under $300 i would definatly think about getting it...If there is a Snes one i would pay No more then $200 so if anyone happens to know where the site is then post it in here...I noticed some sites for the N64 stopped selling it cuz they wernt selling enough of them...Go figure when u charge that much for it....The N64 is only like a $60 system and then they go and sell an attachment for it and its near $400...G i wonder y its not selling like crazy...Anyway thanks for all the help...L8R
