    ok i have had a pinnacle transfer for awhile now and i am able to record footage of my PS3 and XBOX 360 and WII but when i went to try it on my N64 (Nintendo 64) I put in the jacks in the capture card and it did not have the lights on where it is supposed to be, and i click record and says nothing is connected and i am getting the picture on my t.v? please help me

    some of the old game consoles didn't send a standard composite signal over the wire. it was close enough for a tv to display but not a capture card to "lock" on to. you might try a vcr to record to tape and then capture that.

    I could add to that. You could feed the "live" signal out from the vcr to your capture unit and record that. That would save you a second realtime session and get it on the first playthrough.

    Are you using composite cables (the red, white and yellow cables) or the rf cable jack?

    Do you get any picture through the vcr? What doesn't work? Do you not get a picture on the vcr? Does the picture show on the vcr but not on the capture device?
