    Is it OK to use 4x DVD+R media on Philips DVDRW228? It's designed as 2.4 burner, and I've just upgraded the firmware to 1.64. I thought I've seen it mentioned somewhere that it could be unsafe to use 4x media on a 2.4x burner. Has anyone had experience using it with this drive? TIA

    Version 1.64 was developed to burn 4xmedias safely (at 2.4xspeed of course)

    4x media is now running cheaper than 2.4x
