when i drag and drop the clip i've already captured.....the clip appears upside down in the editing window.....eh? then what am i supposed to do to trim it down....this is a major headache

i want to add text to the start of the project and then edit varoius clips to make a hour or so of stuff.....

  2. What Dazzle unit? Regardless of which one, you need to ditch moviestar. If its a DVC 150, you have two choices to get any use out of it.
Either "upgrade" to the new Pinnacle drivers and software, or use the dvxcel test utility you should already have. It is only used for capture, though, so you would dump the output from it in another mpeg friendly editor. Ulead VS7 works well and so does the new Pinnacle studio.

  4. I don't understand the whole "erm" thing. Is it basically the same thing as "um" in the US, or does it actually mean something?
Anyway, Moviestar is notoriously bad. I would not even attempt to use it. Find out what dazzle unit you have. I have the DVC 150 so I'm not sure if what I tell you will be accurate for another unit. you should also post all of your computer specs in your profile. it will be hard to help if I can't tell what you're using.
