    I'm sure you do , but not with your computer

    Demux them , use rejig to shrink.

    or author them with ifoedit or whatever , use Shrink to shrink them , and then
    demumx and remux

  3. I have a DVD I created that is 43 minutes long, it consists of 2 VOB files. I need to demux it to change the audio from mp2 to ac3. I used TMPGEnc Plus to demux/remux the first VOB without a problem. When I try to demux the second VOB, I get an error that the video is invalid. How would I demux this so I can change the audio of the complete DVD?

    Yeah but as quickly as my pc will do it!!

    So what's remux/demux?? {EDIT : is demux/ remux splitting the vob files??? If so I only want to demux not remux if u get wot i mean}

    I've always just used DVDx to rip dvds but I have found it slow...

    The *.vob files that I want to convert are ~30 mins long... and I want each on a seperate CD as an mpeg...

    Thanks for your help...

    I think demux is the seperatition of video and audio streams to seperate files.

    remux is the combination of these streams to a a single (audio+video) file.

    remux I suppose could mean more then one audio stream or recombination of streams to a single file. But I am not postive about the use of that term to mean as much.

    Is this right? I am a newbie... somewhat so I could be on crack.

    You are correct, pcexpress-guy.

    @MAURIK:
    Do you want each VOB on a separate CD in VCD or SVCD format or just raw MPEG ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

    Use DVD2AVI to frameserve into TMPGEnc. All the control you will ever need.

    good call, rhegedus. Spot on.

    The trouble with doing things "as quickly as possible" means that quality is often compromised. Hopefully I don't have to give the spiel.
    If in doubt, Google it.
