  1. When ever I burn a DVD it seems to be a bit blurred and jerky. I burn at the max speed. if I burnt them at a slower speed would it cure the problem? And if not have you any suggestions? I use Cucsoft to change them to mpeg and TMPEng DVD author to write and they are usually AVI files.

  2. Am not familiar with cucsoft so can not really comment on its encoding abilities, one thing to be aware of is the framerate of the AVI and your encoded mpeg, if these do not match you may encounter stuttering playback.

Can you give more details of your conversion method e.g your source file and other settings.

  4. I convert from avi to DVD. It does it all for you when you select this option the other options are avi to mpeg and mpeg to mpeg2 and then there is avi to vcd and avi to svcd. It gives the options also of PAL or NTSC. I chose this program because it was easy to use. But surley it not all avi files should be blurry and jerky so it must be something I am doing.

Dont know if it will help but this is the log from a conversion:
