I've used Adobe Premiere to edit a movie, captured from VHS tapes, and exported it to a DVD. I used Pegasus MJPEG codec during the capturing and I exported the movie from Premiere with the built-in Adobe Encoder to MPEG-2. Then I imported the MPEG-2 file in Adobe Encore DVD, made a menusystem and burned it from there.
When I watch the DVD both on my computer and on a DVD player there is a problem with fast motions and the picture gets a bit "choppy" but the original .avi files are pretty good. I've tried to export the MPEG-2 file from Premiere at 4Mbps and 8Mpbps but there it's all the same.
Any ideas why this is happening and how to make it go smoother? Shall I use another encoder than the Premiere's built-in encoder?
Fredrik
