  1. Two quextions:
    1. Is there any way to extract the VCD's menu created with Nero ?
    2. How can I start the VCD on the PC, to see the menu too ?

    Thanks,
    Cornelius

  2. Yes. VCDXRIP (one of the tools in VCDImager) will extract all the files on a VCD AND create an XML descriptor of it too (so you can rebuild it).

VCDXRIP can only work on CUE/BIN images or the Nero type image. Thus, if you have already burnt your VCD, you should use a proggy like CDRWin to extract and write a CUE/BIN image of the disc onto your HDD.

To play the VCD, menus and all, you need a specific VCD player on your PC. Most software DVD proggies (e.g., WinDVD and PowerDVD) will play VCDs with menus. All you have to do is put your VCD in and press play (or it may even autostart).

  3. You can play full function (S)VCD on PC eventhough you don't have dvd drive. With PowerDVD just chage to disc mode and hit play.
