  1. Here's my problem. I've downloaded a DivX movie, extracted the audio using VirtualDub. The audio is 2 channel stereo so I just did a "save wave" and had no problems with that. I converted the video to to .m2v. When I load video in TMPGenc DVD author it's fine, but as soon as I try to load wave file I get an illegal audio format error. What's the problem with my wave file?

When using PCM WAV audio on a DVD it needs to be 16-bit Stereo 48k and my guess is that your WAV audio is 44.1k instead of 48k

You could try loading the original DivX into VirtualDub and this time set up the audio to FULL PROCESSING and set up the WAV to match the parameters I just stated above.

You can also use ffmpeggui and convert the wav to ac3 which will be much smaller and save disc space.
