  3. did u try this link as well?
    http://www.vcdhelp.com/tmpgenc.htm
Are you going to mpg or vcd-ready mpg?

I use virtual dub to uncompress the audio to 'uncompressed audio' (workz better or less glitchier than straight divx audio, mp3 or wma2 audio), pushes the file size to around a gig or so, then load up avi2mpg or tmpgenc 12 or 12a and encode to vcd. You may want to cut your divx into two parts first then encode; it;ll be easier to encode to to mpgz then to cut it afterwards, and your filez should be in synch.

    go to
    http://www.divx-digest.com/articles/index.html, or http://www.doom9.org
read their guides or Nicky'z guides. cue up your filez grab a cold one and encode away.

  5. k, list exactly what stepz you're taking to try to convert it. The pc config you got, what software, which codecz you've installed, and which appz you're using to convert it.?
Itz got to be either audio, codec, or winOS related. But if you list the stepz we may be able to troubleshoot it better.
What kind of divx is it? One that you encoded, tele-sync, screener, smr, cam, what error messages if any are u getting and from what app/step. Is virtual dub (14d had a bug with pc's running norton antivirus so if 14d patch it up), or 14c, parsing the movie properly? have u tried the divxfix.zip file to see it the movie is freezing at any one point?
