    I recently reformatted and now I cant seem to play DVDs on my computer.. what codec do I need that will allow me to watch them?

    Mpeg2, if you install the trial version of PowerDVD it will give you one.

    i have the full version of power DVD and I installed it and lost it again trying to fix it.. anywere i can find a standalone mpeg2 codec? and a good one 2 thanks...

    EDIT.. erm nvm.. lol I made myself a link above hehe.

    hmm Installed that mpeg 2 codec listed here on the sire and it did nothing.. I reinstalled powerdvd and my movies play in powerDVD but whenever I load a video_ts.ifo in windows media player it crashs.. can any1 link me to the proper codec to get this working in windows media player?

    Media Player Classic has an MPEG2 decoder built in.
