  1. Is there any way to network the Dongle so as to enable the program on multiple computers. I really don't want to purchase the entire software package for each computer.

  2. If your license from Canopus allows this, their tech support department should be able to tell you how to do it.

If it doesn't then you are asking for warez and this is not allowed to be discussed within these forums.

  3. I paid for this software and installed it on several of my computers. It would be nice if I could use it on more than one....concidering how much it cost. I don't need their permission to use what I paid for.

Demonstrateably not true. You paid for 1 license, hence you have 1 dongle. You can install it on all of your machines, but you can only actively encode on 1 machine at a time.

There is no practical reason to network a dongle, it defeats the purpose of the dongle in the first palce.

and what does the End User License Agreement* say about installing on multiple computers?

(*that thing you clicked "I Agree" to when you intalled it, multiple times... you did read it, didn't you?)

canopus uses a USB dongle , comes with an 4 port hub though which is real neat of them ..

    The software lic says:

"Installation and use. Canopus Grants you the right to install and use one copy of the SOFTWARE on ONE computer."

"Backup copies. You may also make copies of the SOFTWARE as may be necessary for backup and archival purposes."

end of story - you need 1 lic/software package/dongle per system.

YOU don't own the software -they do .... they just lic you the right to use it ...

  9. Guess I will purchase a copy of Procoder Express for each system. I only really need the full version to convert Pal to NTSC anyway. I found out that the Dongle locks in exclusively to the computer that is using it.
Excellent program for standards conversion. It would be nice if it had "Timeline" editing and a "Noise Filter". I guess Edius would have been a better choice.
    Over and out.

  11. Where do I find the noise filters? I didn't see them listed.....only blur filters. Is there an update for 1.5.
Also, where is the timeline editor located.

    I know.....I know.......read the manual.

I am trying to save a little time here.
